Prayers for a Safe Journey

Took the dogs hiking this afternoon. I needed eggs for meatballs, and Jackie's car needed gas, so I thought I could kill two birds with one stone, and went to the little gas station in LaGrange.

Filled up the car and noticed a young woman with the hood of her car up. She had her cell phone out, using the flashlight feature to look under the hood. I went over and asked her if everything was all right?

She said that her car was lagging, when she stepped on the gas. This happened about every hour or so. She had a piece of paper from an auto parts store, where it was written down that she needed a PN valve or something like that. I told her that the little BP store wouldn't have that part, and even if they did it was unlikely that she could install it herself without tools, etc.

She said she was trying to get home. There were three small children in the car with her. I asked her where home was? She said, "Columbus." "Ohio", I asked?. . . "Yes" she replied. . . This is no short journey, but several hundred miles from us.

I asked her what route she was taking home, she said she was taking the back roads, due to the way the car was acting. She showed me her phone, and her next turn was south on interstate highway I-69. I told her she only had one more stoplight before 69. If I were driving her car, I would get on the highway, set the cruise control and not touch it. The problem was happening when she accelerated, so getting on and staying on cruise would probably help her. I told her I would be praying for her, and that she would get home OK.

I gave her one of my little crosses, and asked if I could pray for her. She sincerely nodded yes. I put my hand on her shoulder, and we prayed together, for angels to be around her protecting her on her journey. When we ended her eyes were full of tears. She asked my name. She said her name was Tina.

Please join with me in praying for Tina. She has an almost 4 hour drive ahead of her. . . The timing was God perfect. I'd been hiking with the dogs for well over an hour, and Tina and my paths crossed at the perfect time. . .

Thank you Lord. . .
Please watch over Tina and help her get home with her children. . .
