Father I love doing Bible word studies. This morning I did a search in the KJV Bible for ‘father’. It is found 1126 times in 970 verses. In the Old Testament it is found 757 times in 644 verses. In the New Testament it is found 369 times in 326 verses. The Hebrew word translated as ‘Father’ is: Strong’s dictionary: H1 אָב 'âb awb A primitive word; father in a literal and immediate, or figurative and remote application: - chief, (fore-) father ([-less]), X patrimony, principal. Compare names in “Abi-” Total KJV occurrences: 1214 The Strong’s dictionary words are arranged alphabetically, so the Hebrew word for “Father” so H1 is the first word in the Strong's Hebrew dictionary.
