Psalm 1

I find much value in slowing down, and focusing on. . . meditating on a passage of Scripture for an extended period of time. Especially in times of uncertainty, there is great comfort and peace in meditating on the Word of God. I've been working on Psalm 1 for more than a week now. Memorizing its verses as I drive to and from work each day. Relationships, implications, connotations for me only become apparent after much chewing on them. The psalm starts out, "Blessed is the man", and then lists three attributes of a blessed man.      1. He doesn't walk in the counsel of the ungodly. . . he doesn't take advice or teaching from a morally wrong person. His walk, my Pastor spoke on this last Sunday. . . your walk is your daily activity.      2. He doesn't stand. . . stop for a moment on the road, the avenue of the sinners. If this blessed man finds himself in their domain, he keeps moving, not spending any more time than necessary there. . . not stopping...
