O Priests, That Despise My Name. . .

I am continuing my study of the ‘fear of the Lord.’. . . Malachi 1:6-8 A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? (7) Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. (8) And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts. Priests that despise my name. . . We surely today have many supposed priests of God, which despise the Name of God. Priests who teach untruth. Priests embarrassed and ashamed of Yeshua. . . Jehovah Saves. . . Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: fo

The Repulsing and Attracting Forces. . .

It came to me in a flash of illumination that hatred is a repulsive force, similar to when you orient a pair of magnets such that the poles are aligned north-north and south-south. Depending upon the strength of the magnets they will very strongly resist being forced together. The closer they become, the stronger the repulsion. They are driven apart, but that is all you can say. There is no specified direction as to where they will end up. The magnetic force wants them to be anywhere, but where they are, and that force has no preference as to where in the universe that it resides, as long as it isn’t next to one another (or any other) like magnetic pole. Such is hatred. Hate is solely a repulsive force, driving the individual away from the focus of their hatred, but that force is blind, and as such possesses no focus or positive object. Everything about hatred is negative, and the place of rest of the person who hates, may well be in a far worse location than they have ever experienc

The Former and the Latter Rain. . .

Deuteronomy 11:14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. Jeremiah 5:24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. Zechariah 10:1 Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. The Bi

The Treasures of God's Word. . .The Heart of a Child

I so love uncovering treasures in the Word of God.  Sometimes I pause, and wonder when I find something particularly beautiful to my soul, will I ever find another treasure to compare to this?  Will I ever again feel the sharp joy of uncovering a previously unseen (to me) jewel?. . . and a new day breaks, and another wonder from the Word of God is revealed.   With a child’s love of surprises, I hope and pray the wonders never end. . . At the bright seashore, exploring new worlds, gulls dance and lift on waves of wind, screaming shrill warning of the invasion of their kingdom. Now racing to turn over each clump of seaweed. . . blind to time and troubles, captivated by the call of discovery. . . small feet in golden delight, dancing a sine dance, alone on the wave line, tracing new paths. . . leaving first prints in the virgin sand, slowly advancing as the tide recedes, pockets bulge filled with precious beauties of the deep. Truth be known. . .the treasure never expires, each cresting

Abusing God. . .

Isaiah 59:1-3 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: (2) But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. (3) For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. You have a choice, whether to believe in God or not. Every man and woman has that freedom. If your choice is to believe in a god, then you must further decide upon which god to believe in. There are uncountable gods and you must decide which of the multitude of gods will be your god or gods. People worship animals, or the natural world. . . they worship knowledge, scientific theory, themselves, money, power or other people. . . but if your choice is to believe in the God of the Bible. . . the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the very same God who robed Himself in flesh, came to us
