Prayer Walk 4-29-8

We are praying and walking up and down the streets of our city. I am posting these reports of what happens on our evenings of street ministry. I bought a Radio Flyer Wagon to pull along behind us as we walk. That is kind of our trademark for people to recognize us by.

Terry Wallin and I handed out fliers last night. It was very cool, cold really is the word for it and not too surprisingly not very many people were out, but we were able to speak and pray with a few. There was a little group of 3 junior high & high school aged girls walking on the sidewalk who we talked to. They said their mother had been wanting to speak with us, but that she didn't get home for a while. Terry and I went back to their house a little while later and she was laying down and not available. I think she may call the church.

Terry ran into a nephew that he had never met before. He was asking for prayer for a situation in his life and mentioned a name that Terry recognized as a common relative that had recently died. We anointed and prayed with him. Lots of things going on in his life. They exchanged phone numbers. We talked about church and the power of God to change things.

Joanna Noble (she was at LTC Sunday) we talked to. She was just sitting in a car on Aspenwald, very upset. Things not going well between her boyfriend and her. I saw him at Tina's yesterday. He was also at the child abuse prevention talk I gave Saturday evening. She said that he likes me and was touched by my talk. She is wanting me to talk with him tonight at the memorial service.

We saw and talked to Loretta and her two children and a female friend of Loretta's who recognized me from her time in the jail.

We talked with quite a few other people.

One lady in particular was very interested in the fliers. She came and got one from us, took it back to her apartment and a few minutes later came back for another one for her neighbor. Talked to her about church and God for a little bit.

Ran into a little problem, the fliers are so popular with the young kids in the apartment area, that they are going behind me and picking up the ones we leave at the doors there. It's a little game for them. I overheard them talking, they are planning on selling them to people on in the area. . . :) I'm going to have to figure out something to do about that.

I used to be recommended this web site via my cousin. I am no longer sure
whether this put up is written through him as no one else know such detailed about my trouble.
