Silver Jubilee Living for God

 




Jackie and I are celebrating our silver jubilee this year, not of our marriage but of our living for God.  This has been a process of much growth and maturing for both of us. . . and it's not over yet.  We are still growing and learning.  I don't ever see an end to this process.

We've been in some utterly crazy situations, where what looked like certain disaster,  turned into an amazing testimony of God's power, and His hand in our lives.

We've learned. . . we're learning that when we see a situation unfold in our lives, not to panic, but to wait and see just what God is doing. . . learning to look to find the Hand of God in every situation.  

Don't give up hope though the situation seems to be beyond you.  Until the final chapter is written, you don't know how the story will turn out. . .

Spiritual Diabetes. . .

John 3:14-16 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: (15) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. By far, I'm sure this is the most often quoted passage of Scripture in the New Testament. People who know nothing about the Word of God can quote verses 15 and 16 by heart. The following is expanded from a talk that I gave at a men's meeting at the Elkhart County Jail March 11, 2009 Many years ago I heard on the radio, or read in a magazine or book, or saw on television. . . I just cannot remember even what medium I saw this on. . .anyway,  a scientist talked about what he could deduce about God from the design of the universe.  This man's response fascinated me and I have continued to ponder upon it for some twenty or twenty-five years after hearing it.
