Be Still. . .

Psalms 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Our lives are filled with incessant noise. Radio, television, Ipod’s, Internet, Facebook, Twitter, mobile phones and on and on. . . we are connected and tuned into the world from rising till slumber. . .The noise never ends. The wilderness is a long journey away. . .The chains of this world are the chains which connect us to the world and allow no escape. Stand in awe, and sin not. . .the only time I am truly safe from sin is when my entire attention is focused upon Him with no distractions. . .I find my perfection within Him. . .Reveling in Him. . .not reveling in music about Him. . .I require solitude from other men. It is precious. It is required. The Power of One. . .

Psalms 133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Ephesians 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: For the watch night service this year, my Pastor assigned several of the men involved in ministry in our church different verses to speak upon for a few minutes. The above three verses are those verses. They are the only verses in the KJV where the word ‘unity’ appears. He gave us the verses first and then a few days later assigned each of us small snippets of each of the verses to speak upon New Years Eve. Before I knew what I would be speaking on, I spent a couple of days meditating on ‘unity’. . .the apparent theme of our watch night service verses.
